Hey Kiddies!!

Well this morning I was having a lie in with Mamma up in the bed.  I have been sleeping with her now for ages I don’t know how long now, but I am certainly at home there. This morning Mamma caught me sleepin with my chin on her big pillow lookin so comfy she had to run down and get the camera!  I can’t begrudge her that, besides I won’t be here forever so what are a few more pictures?

This is one of my favorite photos, we both look just so relaxed. This was a break in between some morning smooches. I’ve got to have those. I refuse to get up and start the day until I’ve had a least 5 minutes of good morning smooch!

I’ve been a bit quite and slow moving again. I had my check up at Dr Deb’s on Monday and she thinks I’m sliding backward again. Mind you its no surprise I’m still getting over being on the antibiotics. Mamma had to stop again at day 9 cause I had stopped eating again. Deb even says I look tired She also said the last few weeks my pulse has been weaker and thready again. This time Mamma decided not to freak out when she heard that, besides I’m still checkin on the garden and enjoying my new stroller, I just need more time to rest is all.

Yesterday Mamma went for her first speed walk with me in the stroller, I sat up front and looked out the little window whole time, it was exciting to go that far and walk that quick. We are in the country so we have to walk on the road and then when the cars come we go to the shoulder but its very bumpy so I like it better when Mamma walked on the side of the pavement. I’m pretty brave, it doesn’t bother me none when the cars and the trucks come by, they often will drive over on the other side of the road when they see the stroller, but little do they know its a bunny in there!

So Mamma is sad and worried right now, we got the two old dogs, Mato and Tera. Well Tera has got a bad tooth so she is going in to have it out next week but in the meanwhile she has started beating up Mato who used to be the Alpha dog, now Tera has beaten the alpha outta her and taken it for herself. So Mamma had to break down and separate them cause Tera will just beat her up for no reason, we think Mato is getting ready to go be with her sister Koda who had to put to sleep last fall. Mato had been doing well up until a week ago and now she just seems resigned to give up her status. Mato is older than her expected life expenctancy so its not so surprising, but still sad to see her diminish. She is eating fine and everything seems good, she just doesn’t want to go outside or be anywhere near the other dog. Mamma thinks she is afraid of Tera now and afraid of being  housed with her again, so for now Mato is getting the spoiled treatment inside while Tera is living out in the run, Mamma just doesn’t trust this sudden aggression. We’ll have to see if her blood work shows anything we should be worried about. Mato meanwhile is recovering and we’ll have to wait and see.

So Mamma has been very busy this week finally getting some creative stuff done. She finally got the “RED” collection of Tinkie Couture done and up in my little shoppe here on our web blog so that took a bit to get all done, but I am very happy with the job she did and Gracie did all the modeling. Mamma tried to see if I would, but I’m just not up for it right now so I think its time Gracie started pulling her weight around here, it can’t always just be me and Puds doing the work.

Mamma also decided to get off her butt and finally rephotograph some older pieces of jewelry she had made when she still had her store and get it all up on her Etsy site. The goal is to get motivated and get some of her own work done again. She still has a painting sitting on the easel that has been there since last fall and she hasn’t made a new piece of jewelry since before Christmas! I think she still finds it hard taking care of me and doing all the other stuff too.

So I’m still being syringe fed twice a day and that is going pretty good I like my Slippery Elm diet, although Mamma has tweaked it again, adding more of the ground alfalfa pellets to try and get my weight back up again. I am still pretty bony.

Mamma here~ I think this proves what I’ve always known, Trinket doesn’t know she is a bunny, she figures she is “people” with fur!

She still amazes me with her constant cuteness. Everyday I wonder how is it possible for her to become more and more sweet, cute and loving. I am begining to think it is limitless.

HELLO Bunnies!!

hehe, I’m STILL doing GOOD!! Yup, I think I have officially baffled my vet! I was in yesterday for my weekly acupuncture and check up and she is still shakin her head about this slippery elm diet (and Grapeseed Extract) Mamma had to play with the ratio of my S.E. to alfalfa meal cause I still seem to have trouble swallowing (but we are not gonna worry or focus on that!!) So now I’m eating mostly the slippery elm with just a bit of alfafa. Deb looked in my mouth and everything looks good, she can’t feel any swelling or nothing that would point to the cause of my trouble swallowing, so for now I’ll take my mash a bit more runny and with how good things keep improving we are NOT worried. Grape seed extract has super healin qualities, like fighting allergies, cancer, heart disease, blood pressure, wound healing and a ton of other stuff, its a a very powerful antioxidant!! And you know, us buns are so sensative, these kinds of therapies work wonders on us and I think I am the proof!! Mamma says even my dandruff is gone and my fur is startin to look alot better, she says I look heathier, she can see now too!

 Anway my weight is back up to 1.1 kg, my new fightin weight! LOL and Deb even told Mamma that up until the last two weeks I had been steadily declining each week for a few months. I think she figured that was the new trend and it was just a matter of time and now I’m doing way better that I have in months and months!! I don’t know why this is possible ( well I do beleive its the Slippery Elm Grapeseed stuff) but its happening so I’ll take it!! As far as my acupunture points, only my liver points were a bit hot and Mamma has put me back on one of the chinese herb combo that Deb had perscribed for me before so hopefully things will settle down. But I am feeling good.

My splay leg has almost full range of motion again and for over a month I dragged it behind me and Deb thought for sure it would soon fuse like my other one. So in my cart and I am super fast!! Daddy puts me down and I launch out of his hands like I kicked on the Turbo or something, I’m there and them I’m NOT Did I tell yous, he had to put on a third leg with a wheel a few weeks back? Well that is off now, I don’t need that sissy S**T  OOh I am a bad girl, I got a bit of Potty mouth today

Mamma finally got the last of the herbs for the garden. she got some super “Gigantico” hehe, that’s what the brand is called, HONEST!! anyway she got two things of Cilantro, two Basil and an Italian Parsley. The plants are huge so we’ll be eating off them in no time! Oh and I know why they call that salad green “Rocket” rocket, it sprouted in less then a week!! Daddy was so shocked he thought it was the weeds, but Mamma says weeds don’t grow in rows! hehe. We are still watchin for the Dandies to sprout, Mamma thinks maybe she saw some, but at this point it could be regular weeds not the fancy kind like UK Dandies!! hehe soon though,I got my toes crossed.

Oh Mamma has been a bad girl and now she if feeling guilty and stressed Daddy has been off work now over a week cause he had to do a major repair on the truck and we thought things had picked up at his work, but now we find out lots of the other drivers haven’t been out in nearly two weeks So we are hopin he’ll get some work soon… Too bad we can’t perk up the ecomonmy with some of those herbs, but Mamma says it doesn’t work like that Too bad… anway back to Mamma being bad. She and Daddy were cruising the web and saw an ad for a cute little camcorder thingie, and yes OMG she ordered one! She didn’t bother to consider that she shouldn’t be spending money on stuff like that right now, but she did it anyway. Well it arrived yesturday and now she is running around everywhere with this dang thing stuck in everybun face!! LOL she hasn’t come up with anything Youtube worthy yet, but its a only a matter of time. Anwway she says its super easy to use and it has nice audio too which her camera couldn’t do with its little movie feature and this is in HD (Whatever!!??) so apparenly its got nice quality picture and can film in low light conditions which her regular camera couldn’t do either. So I guess I am desitined to become a serious Video Blogopher since Mamma says its so easy I could probably use it, even without the thumbs!

Well that’s it for today, its cool here , I was hopin for sun so I could get out in the garden and get those herbs planted and possible make a movie!!

hehe Kiddies, OMG I’m  having the best adventure ever!! And I didn’t even have to leave our place, LOL!

It was just the long weekend here in Canada and Mamma and Daddy have been working on the garden all weekend, and thankfully Daddy was home all week so Wednesday was the last day to get as much done as they could since the lawn guys were coming today to mow the lawn, would you believe it was the hottest day ever, 27 degrees Celsius!! Anyway Mamma let me come out again to help finish the planting of the veggies she picked up at the nursery on Tuesday.

First off Daddy had to dig into the end of one of the beds to turn in some sand so that the carrot roots can easily grow deeper into the ground and I just HAD to supervise, making sure he was doing it right. After me crawling around in the dirt for a while my diaper came right off so Mamma let just get all down and dirty all natural, although I did keep my shirt on, A girl has to have some dignity!!

Hehe, at one point I got right down into the hole and then I couldn’t get out so Daddy had to rescue me! But I did make sure he got it deep enough. So then we finally got all the baby veggies into the ground so they get growing.

Daddy still had one more of those raised beds to get all weeded out and he had to dig out all the overgrown grass and their roots and I feel so bad for him, it took him all day out in that hot sun. Mamma finished up the planting and digging up some of the over weeded perennials in the borders. So I got to supervise from my shady little spot under the wheel barrow. I had my water, some salad and a nice blankie, but do you think I would stay under there? NO way, Every time Mamma looked I was out scootin around the bed and hanging out in the sun. I have to tell you, the hot sun felt great on my bony bum, even Dr Deb said the sun would be very energizing and warming for my achy bones. Mamma was a bit skeptical though, a black bunny out in the hot sun? She kept grabbin me and sticking me back under the shade, but a few minutes later there I’d be out shuffling along in my weird way. Mamm was just amazed at how fast and how far I could go. It was the most getting around that Mamma has seen me do in months and months. I just kept on going all day long.

Finally Mamma couldn’t take the heat and sat down under a tree with me but the doggies came over and kept kissing me!! EWWW! They would kiss my back feeties and kiss me on the head. Mamma was so impressed with them, they were very gentle and slow with me to not scare me. I even started trying to shuffle away from the shade and go back into the sun again and the Doggies kept sniffing on me, but never once got too nosey with me.

Well finally around 5 o’clock we went inside and I then I ate two salads that evening!! After both Mamm and Daddy had a cool bath to get all clean and re-energized themselves, then I got my sponge bath. So I ended the day all clean and fresh and smelling all sweet!! 

So, Yay I am eating  Hobbit style. I’m still getting my slippery elm slurry with my Grape Seed Extract and Mamma thinks it has to be making a huge difference. I have so much more energy and even my splayed leg is working a whole lot more. Tonight Daddy set up my cart again and I was zooming around like I used to a few months ago. I can’t believe how close it was to all slippin away a few weeks ago and how its finally turning around now.

So since I was eating so well and I seem so much stronger Tuesday night both Mamma and Daddy decided to see if I could stay in my hutch for bedtime to eat my salad since I won’t eat much up in Mamma’s bed. So Daddy was stayin up watchin me while watching some TV and Mamma still had the “Tinkie Vision” on and you know what, 20 minutes later I was laying on my back floundering with my feet up in the air and Daddy heard nothing until Mamma came downstairs to rescue me and take me back up to bed with her. That’s it, Daddy is fired as far as keepin watch on me!!

I am just so happy things are going so much better. Today we had to go to town to get Daddy’s truck so naturally I had to go with so I wouldn’t end up on my back while they were gone. I am a bit tired today but not as much as you’d think, I still got enough beans in me to go whizzing around in my cart tonight now that it fits me again!!

I just can’t believe that after nearly a month and half of not eating and getting weaker and weaker, I could feel this hopeful again. Today I am a happy bunny and my Mommy is a happy Mommy and Daddy is a happy Daddy!! xox T

OK Kiddies I got to the vet yesterday and she was impressed!!

 She said my pulse was the strongest its been in weeks!! Mamma discussed with her all the changes she made in my diet and Dr Deb even though she is studying to get her certification in Veterinary Herbology had not come across Slippery Elm in her studies and information! Although she says its a “cooling” herb and I mostly require “warming” for my system, obviously is cooling down any inflammation in my tummy and my throat so its a good thing. She even complimented the poopies I brought to show her! LOL

So mamma had noticed too that for the last month and half I had stopped drinking my water and every night, and in my water she puts my homeopathic treatment for my kidneys which had (she totally believes) saved my kidneys from total breakdown over a year and half ago. Anyway on my last visit Deb commented that my acupuncture Kidney points had been getting hotter and hotter each week pointing to the deterioration of their optimal functioning BUT since then Mamma had started syringing my water with my homeopathic treatment in it and THIS week my kidney points were totally normal, no excess heat showing any problems!! WELL I don’t know for sure, but we really think its the homeopathic doing something!! yay this was good news

My weigh in was still 1kg, but that’s amazing considering that Mamma suspects that I had dropped a lot of weight earlier last wee with all that choking business. Oh and my Lady Businesslooked so much better by the afternoon Deb said not to give me more meds, so no needle and I’m just to continue on with my new diet and herbal mix that Mamma has put in it. The only negative thing from my check up was that my breathing was a bit faster than normal, but there was not any sounds of any rattles or indication of any pneumonia. Mamma wonders if my breathing is faster cause I’m not getting the exercise I had been getting before so now I’m officially a couch potato so I guess I bit out of shape.

So Deb also said to get me out in the sun and the fresh air which we are doing and she thinks I am doing so much better so she is very impressed with the slippery elm diet I think she’ll be investigating it further!!

So we picked up a few more veggies and greens for the garden so I think I’ll be out in the garden planting some more stuff today, I’ll get Mamma to post some photos later of the finished beds!!

Oh I have to tell yous I have suddenly starting eatin Salad like a proper Hobbit!! OMG yay I am so hungry so I’m just stuffin my little gob!! Daddy gave me two servings last night while we were watchin the tellie. So right now I don’t like the dandies out of the yard, they have flowered now so they are very bitter but Mamma found a bunch in the grocery store and they are yummy!! I am eating lots of that and tons of cilantro too. I was even eatin in the truck on the way home from the vet yesterday. I think Deb must have been working overtime on the nomie points with her needles cause I’m still chewin this morning. I haven’t even had my S.E. slurry yet but I’ll save room for that too!! So Mamma says I’m being like a proper little Hobbit, I tell you I’m so glad to see her happy and relieved!

Well Kiddies…

Daddy is convinced I am getting stronger on my new diet. I have been doing lots of push up lately so I’m trying to keep up my biceps!!  The slippery elm diet seems to be doing me some good and I’m no longer scared of the syringe so the feedings are going well again. My mushy cecals had cleared up for a bit but they are back to being very mucky and squishy and very gross and very very stinky!! EWW, I think they’d rival Gracie’s!! so Mamma is takin me off the Pedialyte and extra juice in my slurry recipe and we are going back to wetting everything down with just my ginger tea, Mamma is worried the extra sugars are screwing things up. I’m getting lots of water and tea into me with my meals so we don’t have to worry about dehydration.

The bad thing about the icky cecals is that I got a nasty infection which has inflamed my lady business, Owwie, its not nice and I’m not very happy about this. I woke up with this burning feeling this morning, thankfully we are going to the vet again today so I guess I’ll be back on the needle What a cwappy way to start the day, but I had to have a butt bath, but things are feeling a bit better now so I guess I won’t be too cranky about it.

So things have been very busy here this weekend. Daddy has been home since Friday and will be home at least a few more days, he’s getting some major work done on his big truck and I got to ride to Owen Sound with him yesterday when he took it to the shop. I like to ride on the bed in the back its very comfy, way better than Mamma’s truck!! hehe I know I’m spoilt!

Anyway I’m getting off track here. Years ago when B and Minnie came to live here Mamma and Daddy designed and made this lush and beautiful Victorian garden just for them. It was all fenced in with two little gates and there were big bushy perennial plants to hide and dig around and four raised beds for growing veggies. Mamma and Daddy would work together out there while the bunnies ran their bunny 500s and binkied through the freshly seeded beds, it was very wonderful. But then Daddy had to go trucking and he was never home and Mamma got real sick one year and then they opened Mamma’s gallery and she had to work every weekend and then B and then Minnie died so its been over 4 years since the garden had any bunny visitors or any love and attention. It became more wild and overgrown and the snakes took it over too so Mamma was too afraid to ever go out there to try and bring it back. Its sad too cause a few of our first family members that passed on are buried out there under a rose bush.

Well for two years Mamma has been hounding Daddy to help her do something about it, so when Bella and Pepper sent me the seeds he finally said OK lets “get er done!!” hehe so since Saturday they have been out there working at it. Now Mamma has had to come running into the house a few times cause of some unwanted visitors!! LOL, one time Mamma picked up the shovel and almost picked up a baby fox snake that hiding under it cause it was so cold, she jumped 4 feet off the ground and started doing the River Dance all the way to the house!! Then Daddy saw a big garter snake and that sent her back into the house again!! Then yesterday the baby fox snake had made its way back to the garden after Daddy had relocated already, this time Mamma screamed and manged to float up into the air as she flew to the house!! hehe I was laughin until I realized she took off without ME!! Sure thanks Mamma, run afraid for your life but leave the little crippled bunny to fend for herself!! Well actually Daddy was there to defend me and I hear it was so cold that little snake couldn’t have done me, any harm but I didn’t want him coming around me for warmth that’s for sure!!

Anyway I got to plant my seeds with some help from our crazy dogs! Actually they were pretty good, Mato licked me on my back feeties and seemed to know I was different so they just watched over me really once they got over the initial excitement of having me out in the garden with them. Oh one funny thing, Mamma has posted some pics of this on my profile album. hehe Mamma was holding me and Mato was there routin on me and suddenly there was this horrible stink and Mamma holds me up lookin at me with the goofiest look on her face wondering if I let something go in my diaper or what the heck!! hehe then the next photo she got a clue and she is staring at the dog with a look of sheer disdain and the dog is giving her the same look back all the while I’m staring at Daddy utterly horrified they could possible think I could smell like that! Had she not ever heard the saying, “those who dealt it smelt it!!”?

I even got to  supervise Daddy while he was diggin up the sod that had taken over the raised beds.  Mamma put me down in the bed and I managed to crawl right over to Daddy and took a nose dive right off the end of the sod into the freshly turned earth. Its a good thing I had my diaper on and my Tshirt so I didn’t get so dirty

So today will be a busy day, we got to go to the vet and I hear we’ll be visiting a garden centre and the grocery store so I guess there won’t be any work on the garden today but its coming along. The old broken fence has been almost all torn down and most of the surviving perennials have been dug up and transplanted to one of the raised bed so the perimeter will be mowed down leaving it just an open space except for the rose arbor and the big patch of decorative grass that will soon start to come up again. Its not going to be anything close to what it was in its prime, but the at least the wildness will be held back a bit with the lawn mower anyway and Mamma will able to maintain the raised bed on her own or with Daddy’s help so hopefully the snakes will move on now that their home has been turned on its end.

Well that all that is new here, I’m still in the game!! xox T  

Smoochies!!

Well hello my bunny friends…

Wow after that choking thing the other day both me and Mamma have been very paranoid and I know Mamma has been very upset. It has just seemed like we are all out of options Mamma keeps thinking if only I’d start eating again, everything would be OK…

So Mamma as usually went crazy scouring the Internet and links looking for some new ideas on how to handle this situation. Basically she thinks I know what’s best for me and me hiding my face is saying loud and clear STOP feeding me what you are feeding me!! It always seemed to work in the past to get me through but its not what I need now, especially for such a long term anorexia. Mamma says every pore of her being cannot just stop feeding hoping I’ll start to eat more on my own, she says she knows deep down I would not be here long if she just let it go so she says she can’t, she has to keep trying not matter what cause I”M still HERE!!!

So this is what Mamma suspects (guesses) is going on with me by her observations. I am having some kind of tummy irritation along with throat irritation that seems to irritated more by the food when I do eat. I seem to want to eat and I’ll start and then quickly give up and resign to meditating. In my animal communication I told the “Reader” my throat hurt the more Mamma fed me. Now Mamma really believes this, but the catch is, she can’t not feed me ~ we all know a bunny can’t go long without food and then its even worse with my condition as well

Now Mamma had hoped she helped make my food smoother on the way down by adding the baby food and it did help a lot, but recently Mamma has noticed I am having trouble swallowing, especially if the food gets too thick. so…

We found this page of links for rabbit health issues, http://homepage.mac.com/mattocks/morfz/rabrefs.html Now OMG its a lot of info there and stuff can easily get lost in all that is there, but Mamma has been taking the time to look through many of these links. There are a few there was different recipes for “slurry”, now Mamma always thought she had a good one and didn’t feel the need to look for new ones but thought she’d check them all out anyway, WELL OMG!!!

She found this one that is very interesting and its not based on pellets at all!! (although Mamma is adding alfalfa to it) This new recipe was created more for long term illness where as our old recipe was more for temporary not eating. Ironically Mamma has been most concerned with my fibre intake, my gut flora getting reestablished and somehow making my food more smooth or coated so it doesn’t hurt my throat on the way down. Well she found this recipe that has Slippery Elm which addresses all these issues, wow this is a wonder herb that makes a mucusy gruel, its high in fiber and is VERY healing for all sorts of problems in the tummy throat and lungs!! amazing stuff and its suppose to help with gut flora too as well as increasing the gut motility~ although its bad if there is a blockage or impaction, I don’t have this so we are safe to try this therapy. Plus she is adding Metamucil ( its very important it has to be totally hydrated before I eat it or it will suck moisture out of my gut and give me stasis!!!) Mamma takes a container and puts a wee bit of the Metamucil and lots of Pedialyte and soaks it in the fridge all day so there is no possibility of me getting not soaked enough) I get just a wee bit of this added to more Pedialyte, some banana baby food, some Orange juice, some alfafa pellets ( I really need high calorie food right now) a pinch of ground oatmeal also to add calories and put some weight back on, then she adds a bit of the slippery elm, NON dairy acidolphulus and some grape seed extract which is suppose to VERY healing as well. So all this makes a gruel that is runny but kind of mucusy so it sucks up into the syringe easy and with out the mess of the old recipe and its a lot easier for me to swallow. so far I’m on my third meal of this stuff so its too early to see if I am actually getting better, but at this point we’ve got nothing to loose.

So this new diet is radical with what I was on before. Mamma keeps going back and forth from alfalfa pellets to timothy, but I am geriatric and anorexic now so I really need as many calories in every mouthful I can get so its back on! So I am not hiding my face nearly as much as before, I am still scared as Mamma feeds me, but she asks me to try and I accept another bite.

I woke up Mamma this morning being a lot more perky and I’ve been talkin a lot more than I have in weeks too, and my diaper this morning looked a lot better too so my cecals are starting to firm up again and begin to take the shape of how they should look~ starting anyway… So far so good

So I’m still in the game, we refuse to let this keep me down!!

oh kiddies, i had the worst day today

it started with the diaper from hell first thing. normally i pass the usual dry poo balls during the night, but the last few days i got very soft and messy cecals so i was very quiet this morning and let mamma have a bit of a lie in, but when we did get up and mamma did my diaper, omg!!! i had a huge stinky puck stuck all over me and it had plugged me up so much i wasn’t able to pee so as soon as mamma wiped off the most of it the water hose started everywhere so there was me and mamma, both covered in stinky poo and pee. i got put under the facet right away and finally i got clean.

so mamma let me rest for a while before she syringed me my breakfast, but i didn’t eat any of the greens she served me as my appetizer. so mamma looked over at gracie while she was doing some bunspace comments for me, and gracie was just about to go for a cecal, so quick as lightning, mamma grabbed her and had her in her carrier with the collar. two hours of sitting in there with her cheeks clenched again, finally that whiff of horrendous stink wafted out from the carrier and mamma knew we had payload. but it was all messy icky and soft, not its normal perfection, so mamma had to toss it. gracie was not impressed as she had to have her arse wiped clean and she lost her cecal. i guess it will be no treats for gracie for a few days before we can try again

so finally got my breakfast at lunch and the whole time Mamma was trying to feed me I kept hiding my face. Usually she’d stop, but today she wouldn’t cause I’ve not eaten in 12 hours and she thinks I can’t afford to not eat anything for that long, so she kept going. But then my mash got too thick and the worst thing happened i ever experienced. i started to CHOKE my eyes went all big and bulgy and i was trying so hard to crawl away while i was fighting to swallow it was awful!!! mamma grabbed me and held me upside down and was patting my chest and finally i could swallow and breath. mamma almost had a heart attack. This happened to her beloved Minnie once, but later they think she had a heart attack, but Daddy was able to save her with this same technique. the poor thing had to go to the bridge a few weeks latter with an enlarged heart mamma says that experience was the most horrific she ever had with a bun and today reminded her of that. She watered down my mash more and made me eat the rest of it while tryin not to cry and apologizing to me the whole time I was sulking. She knew I was scared, but she wanted to keep going and end as normal and not leave it with the height of all that fear.

So Mamma has been holding me on her chest all afternoon and I have been smoochin on her but I have been doing a lot of sulking too especially if she puts me down to do anything. And then to top it all off, she cleaned my ears this afternoon, its been such a SHITTY Day!! Then a three hours after all this choking business now I got the sneezies too. Mamma was holding me and i sneezed 4 times in a matter a 5 minutes. She keep listen to my breathing and she thinks everything sounds OK, but she’ll be monitoring me close for any change and if so I’ll be whisked off to the surgical vet.

~I really hope things start to get better soon, cause this is not any fun at all. Ok Mamma is on the phone now waiting to see if she can take me in, I’m acting weird. OK just talked to Deb, she says the sneezing is good if I got a bit of food up into my sinus during the choking thing, but other than that they can’t do anything that they would do for a healthy rabbit. I can’t go under anesthetic to have a nasal flush and she says I wouldn’t have been able to finish my breakfast if I did aspirate so they don’t think that happened (although Mamma did force the issue, but i could swallow)  At this point they can’t DO anything so its a wait and see and hopefully I can sneeze out what ever is irritating me. She also told mamma not to force feed me any more tonight and see if I’ll eat anything again on my own. We’ll see what happens tomorrow.

I think Mamma is very paranoid right now….

Well kiddies, I think Mamma has officially lost her MIND!! I can’t believe but she actually thinks I’m gonna eat somebun else’s cecal!!!  NOT…

So poor Gracie sat in her carrier with her cone on for 5 hours. Mamma did give her some hay and some of our tastiest treats, but she had to sit in the laundry room with Mamma while she was spring cleaning in there. Mamma was very surprised that Gracie was such a good girl, she had several naps and munched on some tasties and somehow she figured out how to get her little paw inside the cone so she could lick her paws and wipe her face. Mamma kept makin her pull her leg out but she’d even rest with her paw through it. Anyway, Mamma wanted to figure out what time of day G made her cecals so she made her stay in there until finally she made some. Well at 8 pm she finally made a stinkie!! I don’t know why but Mamma and  Daddy were very happy about this. “Big deal” I said, I can make a ton of poopies if I want to!!

OK so then Mamma came at me with G’s stinkie ass Cecals and OMG do they stink, they are nothing like my own and I was not impressed with Mamma started stickin those in my face. I tried to fake her out and pretend that I took a bite, but she didn’t fall for it. she even tried to get me to eat some of my own first and I wouldn’t do that either. So she tried for quite a while, she even put some of my bacon on them to see if I would eat them. NO I do not like Bacon on my poo or anybun else’s poo, thank YOU!! Finally Mamma put the two little stinkie nuggets in a baby food container and let me have a break.

An hour later Mamma made the mistake of opening that baby food container and OMG, it was like a huge stink bomb went off, both Mamma and Daddy started gaggin and almost passed out from the smell! Poor Gracie, I think she might have been mad that her beautiful cecal was being subject to my rejection and their revoltion! I guess she really wanted it for herself.

So I ended up with some of the cecals in my yap, but I figured out how to spit them out. Mamma finally gave up for the night, but I hear she’s planning on trying again in a few days. I think I might take my new skateboard and run away from home, but its raining today so I guess I’ll have to wait. I also have  a problem deciding which clothes to pack.

So last night when it was bedtime, I faced my bum to MOM and she had her back me, I know she’s mad at me and frustrated that i won’t eat nothing and I won’t try the ceals. She caught me just the other day eating a wad of Gracie’s fur that Puds yanked out, but I don’t care anymore, I’m mad at her too!! Well this morning I was still ignoring her when we woke up, but she pulled me over to her and started to smooch on me so I know she still loves me so I kissed her too and nuzzled her for ages just to let her know I’ll forgive her, but I still don’t want those stinkin cecals

Well Buns,

We don’t have any luck yet. This is way harder than we ever thought. Gracie does not want me to have her cecals Last night Mamma had a talk with G on the dining room table and asked her if she’d help me. Then Mamma did get the diaper on her alright and she sat there for several minutes letting Mamma pet her and she was fine. Mamma even let her wear one the bridal tiaras!! Well then it was time to put her in her house and she just hopped right out of it!

Mamma tired a few more times and even put a Tshirt on her and taped the shirt to the diaper, well that’s when Gracie started to panic a bit. I feel so bad for her and I think Mamma did too. Poor Gracie jumped around a bit and tried to get out of diaper and she couldn’t so then she just lay in her corner panting. That when Mamma almost started to cry and said the hell with this, she didn’t want to traumatize her more.

Several minutes after getting all her gear off, Gracie just hung out on her top level in his house scowling at Mamma but she was quickly fine and returned to her normal self. So like a pit bull with a stick, Mamma decided to gingerly try out a cone on her and see what happened. NOT good

She got in on Ok, but when she tried to hop around in her house naturally it would hang up on stuff and she couldn’t move around good. Gracie managed to get up on her top shelf to rest and then quickly decided she wanted down again, Uh OH, that when it happened, she fell face first and landed with the cone side down and her body sticking straight up in the air, she was stuck like that. Poor thing was shocked and didn’t struggle and Mamma grabbed her so fast I’m not sure if Gracie actually knew what happened. Thank Goodness she was OK, Mamma would never have forgiven herself if she had been hurt. Obviously the collar came off and Mamma decided to think this through a bit more.

Mamma was thinkin about getting cecals from someone else’s bunny, but… who knows what household bacteria they got floating around or what pathogens are naturally present in those buns. I think it would be nice to traumatize someones else’s bun, but Gracie has been my house mate for 5 years and chances are what she’s got or I got, so Mamma thinks this is the safest as this treatment is controversial and potentially dangerous if I were to be compromised with something while I’m already so sick. So she believes if we are going to do this, it has to be Gracie seems her health is immaculate and she and I are as good as sisters (although she already hates me, what’s a few cecals amongst family!!)

So after a bit more reading, apparently buns eat and then for next four hours that’s when they pass the regular poo balls, its in the next four hours that they begin to pass the cecals. So Mamma’s idea is this. Give Gracie a nice feed in the morning and then put the cone on her but put her in a smaller carrier with a nice blankie and some hay. she tired it last night and well although it went well for Gracie, she was calm the whole time and didn’t freak out at all, she didn’t give us any cecals Mamma had her in the carrier for 2 hours. It seems that Gracie could only move around a bit the cone didn’t bother her too much other then when she wanted to wash her face. She kept licking the inside of the cone and wiping the outside with her paw. Mamma will try this method again today, this time she’ll let Gracie wait 6 hours after eating then she’ll go in the carrier with the cone for the last two hours of that 4 hour window of cecal production, maybe we’ll have some luck?

Gracie seems just like normal today, she’s had her salad and now she is enjoying some very tasty hay that Aunti Paula sent us, its a real treat and
Gracie seems to have put all of last night behind her, she didn’t even threaten me this morning!!

OK Kiddies, I forgot to update a few details yesterday. We have given up on the appetite stimulants. Mamma mentioned to Deb she thought it worked that first day but not the second. Deb said it was probably the acupuncture that got me eating for the day, and it always just lasts a day when I do get eating from a treatment. Too bad I couldn’t have acupuncture everyday, then I’d eat every day!! Not very practical I guess and I’d have to become a millionaire to afford it!! Maybe an acupuncturist will adopt me!? We still hold hope this cecal transfaunation so to speak will be what will get me going again. apparently there is an actual procedure where cecals from a healthy bun can be injected into  the GI tract via a catheter tube up the butt.I was sent a bit of info about this by another bunny here on bunspace, so I guess our idea is not so crazy. OOh this sounds so scary, I hope eating them will do the trick. But I have to say it is a relief to hear about this though, I think we are on the right track here.

Oh a funny story Aunti sent us a ton of tasty hay again and a few pressies!! Yay, Aunti you spoil me so much!! Anyway the best was the this gorgeous and luxurious fleece tied blankie and Mamma decided to fold it in half and put it in my carrier. Oh boy it is so nice and cozy in there now, I love it!! Well at the vet they got this resident cat Scooter, he’s a big young boy and a bit crazy but he likes me and he tried to steal my salad and crackers. Well yesterday mamma had me crawling on the floor in my diaper while we waiting to get in to see Deb, Scooter went right into my carrier and snuggled down in my new blankie!! I barely had it broken in and there he was!! He refused to get out and he napped in there the whole time I was there, at the end of my appointment Deb pulled him out and before Mamma got me back in, he went back in! OMG that cat is so spoilt!! He has a very nice cushy and comfy bed that was gifted to him by another client and I said to him, OK Scooter, you want my carrier then I’ll trade you for you bed, he said no way!! What a saucy feline!!

OK that’s it for now, sorry these are always so long I’ll let yous know how things go with Gracie this afternoon, we’ll keep our toes crossed for sure. I’ll only need a few of her cecals and I guess I’ll need a few treatments as long as I’m on the antibiotics, Poor Gracie, I wouldn’t want to be her right now. I’m sure she’ll be thinking of a way to report Mamma for her abuse. At least she is getting lots of treats out of the deal and pellets which she hasn’t had in well over a year, you’d think she’d be happy about that!

Poor Gracie, even the tiara didn’t cheer her up!! We got a ton of treats and I got the new blankie and this new bunny friend to snuggle with. Hehe the little white bunny hops when you wind him up. Mamma got some seeds to plant for us and a cute little bunny pin and of course she got some treats to share with Daddy~ that is if he’s nice!!

OK buns, I am off to the vets again for my second penicillin needle this afternoon and we’ll think maybe of trying more of the appetite stimulants, but I have to tell you things are getting weird with me.

The first dose of appetite stimulant worked and I seemed to nibble quite a bit more that day, but still not “normal”, the second dose the next day did nothing, in fact maybe I slept more and that was about it, so I go the sedative effects not the munchie effects.

Mamma has been stuffin the CC in my Yap, lots, three times aday I like I get near 100 cc per day so she is not being stingy but here is the bizarre thing. I usually make alot of ceals. For months and months my cecal production has been high and I ususlly will make them at any time of the day. With my paralysis I can’t reach them but I eat them OK on my own and Mamma usually takes them out of my house too cause I make so many and I do eat them she doesn’t want the extras getting all mashed into my fur so we’ve HAD no problem in that area.

Now for the last two day (I’ve been diapered almost 24 hours a day I haven’t made any cecals, not one, nothing!!What is with that? Has anybun ever heard of such a thing? Is this possible? What does it mean? Mamma has been freaking out and threatening to try and diaper Gracie and make me eat hers!! Now this is wrong on so many level, firstly I do NOT want to eat her left overs! That is so gross thank you!! and besides I’m not sure if Mamma could live to tell the tale, it would be like trying to diaper Freddy Kruger! Slice and dice would be an understatement. and then I don’t think she could diaper Puds, could you image trying to diaper a bowling ball and it staying on!

My ordinary pellet poops seem fine, last nights diaper was kind of low on them Mamma thought but I pooped good all day just no cecals Cause Mamma was thinkin I could get cecals when I was in my house its been 4 days anyway maybe 5 since I haven’t gotten any casue Mamma was tossing the ones in the diaper thinking there was a lot more to come, but sadly no.

Now Mamma tried to google this and all she could find was buns with issues making too many and how its the diet too rich and not enough fiber. OK I don’t eat hay but I’m on the Fibreplex still so that’s fibre and pro and prebiotics. Since I started on that my regular poos have been looking so much better and I do make more of them and maybe less of the cecals, but this is ridiculous. There doesn’t seem to be any info out there about buns that don’t make cecals. I doubt my vet is gonna know anything about this, she referrs to Mamma in these kinds of matters seems Mamma is the crazy bunny lady. My surgical vet might, but I’m worried he won’t either. Mamma is thinking a motility agent and another appetite stimulant~ maybe but I don’t know my gut seems to be moving stuff through, it just not sorting it into the categories. Its been over a month now since I’ve been off my food.

I’d appreciate any info you buns might have for me. We are hopin to go to the vet a little forewarned as to what is going on. Daddy wondered if its the antibiotic, but Mamma had noticed that in the past I’d not eat as much of my cecals when I was on antibiotics so we saw more of them not less.
