Fall of Virtue by Laura Corbier

~Most of my images are influenced by color and my need for that energy that the color offers. I am drawn to primaries and I often will pair colors with their contrasting color to intensify both. It is my aim to create energy and vibration through the use of the color so it impacts the viewer.
Archangel Uriel
Here is another favorite of mine Archangel Ureil, this one is now in a private colleciton in British Columbia. but I do have prints and cards also available at aloradesigns.etsy.com Many people have issue with this one, yes the eyes are very penetrating and make many people uncomfortable to look upon him. But I had to ask myself, what quality or energy would an Archangel in person give us? I wanted to represent him outside the typical beautiful angel image. I wanted to show that beauty could be disturbing.
The Road Home by Laura Corbier
Here is the Road Home, the original is also in a private collection in Ontario, but I do have cards and prints available of this one at my site aloradesigns.etsy.com When I was painting this scene, which is basically a view from Islandview Drive, the road I drive to work each day, The Secret was just about coming on big in our country. For years I had dreamed of owning a home on this road and this painting was my way of expressing that desire to the universe. Sadly I am still waiting for that house
