A bridge between the hands and the heart…

After experimenting with socks on my bunny Gracie, to help releive her sore hocks, I decided to make her a pair that were super soft and have extra padding. Well Minkie fabric was just what the job called for, so here you are Tinkie Minkie Bunny socks!!

~Medium Tinkie Minkie Socks/Booties ~ fit a medium sized rabbit around 5 pounds, but measure your bunny’s foot heel to toe.  These are 3 1/2 inches from heel to toe

Instructions: Slide the socks over your bunny’s foot making sure the hock fits into the padded heel area. Use some medical tape or vet wrap to wrap around the top of the sock above the bunny’s ankle, make it tight enough keep the sock from being pulled off, but not too tight to impeed cirulation. Bunnies that have never worn socks before should be monitored closely and the socks should be checked to make sure they are not too tight. Some bunnies not tolerate wearing socks and will chew at them to get them off, I found it helpful to get Gracie used to hers by having shorter sessions wearing them under supervision until she became more comfortable. She is not one of the buns that will wear them all day, but because of her sore hocks, I like her to wear socks when we take her outside, this pads and protects her bare hocks.

Washing instructions~ Wash in cold water and dry on low heat.
